We are excited to announce our first hackathon event and invite every one of you to participate! Girlhacks hackathon will be a 1-day virtual event where you have a chance to showcase your creativity.   It does not matter if you are an engineer, sales representative, or marketer. In a hackathon, everyone is needed.  It also does not matter if you are a high schooler, college student, home maker or a professional.  Creativity is a habit and an attitude; entirely within your control.  So come join us and don't be left out of this exciting opportunity to unleash your creative genius.

Unleash Innovation with Girlhacks 2025

Teams

Teams can be anywhere from 1 to 4 maximum members.  Teams must submit their ideas and work on the solution together.   And do joint presentations.  If you have not yet found your team mates, our first Ideathon event will be a great opportunity to connect and join hands with like-minded creators.

No Experience Required

At the Girlhacks Hackathon 2025, we welcome participants of all levels. Whether you're a novice or an expert, your unique perspective is valuable. This event is designed to encourage collaboration and innovation, so don't hesitate to join us. It's a fantastic way to learn from others, share your ideas, and develop projects that could make a significant impact. Your journey in science and technology starts here!

Event Details You Need to Know

The Girlhacks Hackathon will take place on June 28th, 2025, in a fully virtual format. This allows participants from all over the globe to join in and collaborate without the constraints of travel. Prepare for a day filled with creativity and problem-solving as you work with teams to develop groundbreaking solutions. We can’t wait to see the innovative projects that emerge from this event!

Judging Crieria

Innovation and Creativity

  • Is the idea novel and original and inventive or does the project include a creative solution?  

Impact and Usefulness

  • Does the project have the potential to make a real-world difference and influence real change?

Complexity and Completeness

  • Does the project utilize cutting edge technology and required significant effort to execute?  How complete was the executed solution?

Presentation

  • Does the presentation deliver a clear message about uniqueness of idea, and value?

P.S:  Judges reserve the right to decide on all of the above criteria.  No contests are allowed.  

Hackathon Rules

Team size
Team sizes cannot be greater than 4.


Hackathon day checkins
The Hackathon day format and checkin times are strictly followed.  Every team is expected to check-in at 9am ET on June 28th.  This includes participants from all time zones.  Participants are expected to appear with their cameras on.  An official state or country issued photo ID must be presented during check-in.  High school students may use the Photo ID issued from their schools.    After the initial checkin, there will be a check-in at 11am ET for idea and design approach.  Both these check-ins are mandatory.


Participants are expected to be present on zoom with cameras on during check-ins.


Hackathon submissions
Submissions must include a power point deck presenting the idea and implementation details.  A demo can be included as part of the presentation.  Participants are expected to be present for the presentation.  If you cannot be present, please send us a video. This is only applicable to participants in different time zones from US.  Submissions end at 3.45pm ET on Saturday June 28th.  No exceptions allowed.  


Awards and Prizes
We do not allow contesting our choices of teams as winners.  


Number of projects per team

Is restricted to 1.


P.S:  Judges reserve the right to decide on all of the above criteria.  No contests are allowed.
