What is a Hackathon?
Hackathon is a fun and engaging way of creating something beautiful and unique rapidly. Hacking/coding is a great way to bringing your ideas into existence. Hackathons just provide the right format to expedite that creation.
A human mind only remembers short term events vividly. If you get an idea today, don't expect to remember and be excited equally about it in a month from now. Also we all have little motivation to create something that takes too long. Hence, we invented Marathons: a foot race to cover the largest amount of miles within the shortest amount of time. Hackathon = Hacking + Marathon. In other words, Hackathon is a creation marathon.
Teams
Teams can be anywhere from 1 to 4 maximum members. Teams must submit their ideas and work on the solution together. And do joint presentations. If you have not yet found your team mates, our first Ideathon event will be a great opportunity to connect and join hands with like-minded creators.
Locations
We encourage live participation by attending the event at 1 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA. This event is hybrid but participating live has benefits of higher engagement with other participants and professional networking. Online Participants are welcome as long as their presence is available on adhoc request via zoom anytime during the event. All participants are expected to join the hackathon slack group we create. Please stay tuned for information about how to join slack group. In the mean time, you can reach out to us via mail.
